Sprint races prefer mature horses with age ranging from 4yrs to 6years. If the track is soft or heavy above 7 yrs horses can be consider as well. Horses running on sand track have the similar characteristics of the soft or heavy track. Therefore, the age of 7 yrs old horses can take into consideration. These are base on my personal experience.
