SuperCzar - Race 10

Monday, January 21st, 2008

The horse I want to talk about this week is Superczar, trained by D Hill and ridden by M Gallagher. The finishing was superb !

The horse is like travelling 100km/h. The front pack battling like crazy … and Gallagher smart enough to move the horse outside to avoid the traffic jam and whip his way to winner.

Here is the screenshot I obtained from the video replay …

Saimee hits 1,000th win in Malaysia

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Congratulations …..

Top jockey Saimee Jumaat reached a career 1,000-win milestone on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur when the well-backed Grisham crossed the line first in Race 5.

Saimee, who returned from a one-year disqualification in September, has been in rattling form on both sides of the Causeway. He has already notched up 16 wins at Kranji with his latest haul being a treble on Friday night.

After that meeting, the 35-year-old Singaporean headed up to Kuala Lumpur just three wins short of the tonne on the Malayan Racing Association (MRA) circuit. He bagged a winner (Toll The Bell) on Saturday, followed by a treble (he also scored on Medicine Man and Zhen Dao) on Sunday.

Battle Between 2 “KING”

Monday, October 1st, 2007

Battle between the 2 king continue …

Top Spin versus ItMayBeYou

This is a very interesting race. Known favourite top spin is set to go and try to lead from pillar to post but our local champion jockey - Saimee, rides a patient race and try to catch him at the last 200m. Both rider also top class and it is an exciting race you must watch.

I did not involve much in Selangor racing this week. I think Saimee did not land any winner in Malaysia this week. Hopefully he can claim his pie next week since Hari Raya is Coming …

Lim’s Prestige - Singapore Derby 2007 winner

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

Just when we thought we were headed for a laborious finish at the business end, a grey flash suddenly shot through the pack like a lightning bolt. It was Din Azis sporting the famous grey and red colours of Lim’s Stable, who had found a gap inside Jade, and wielding the whip like there was no tomorrow, rode his mount out to the line for a famous victory.

This is the quote I took from Singapore Turf Club website … you should watch the video replay. Din Aziz really whips Lim Prestige like no tomorrow. It was a very exciting race except the run by Chevron a bit disappointing. Thought Chevron could lead but … he was slow into stride.

Here is the link to watch the replay for Singapore Derby 2007.

Enjoy … and congratulations to the winning team.

Singapore Race : 6 July 2007

Friday, July 6th, 2007

Sand racing for tonight …

Race 1 - 3 Justforhelp looks like hot favourite. Outsider, I am looking at 9 Prince Gold. Hope this 2 year old can fire !

Race 2, got quite a number of front running horse in this field. Veeandvee, Golden Chestnut, Welcome Change and Valiant Master. Personally I like Welcome Change.

Race 3 - 2 Superb Legend seems the best here with Mark Ewe claiming 2kg.

Race 4, I feel that this is a tough race. Prefer to skip. If I were to pick a horse for betting, I will consider Royal Smile.

Race 5, 10 Super Express is a very risky horse. I think he will definitely lead in this race. Since he won before on SAND and place in 1400m, just scared it will lead from pillar to post. Outsider that I like is Sandstorm. He won at MRA 46 points carrying 56.5kg. Now, MRA points is 48 and -4kg claim will result 53.5kg in riding weight. This horse definitely got advantage in ratings. Let’s see whether Azrull can overcome the wide barrier or not.

Race 6, no idea … i don’t really like maiden. I will monitor the tote for 10 Handsome Jazz for betting support.

Race 7, Lim’s Swing and outsider Dreammore.

Race 8, Han Effect for me … value pick, I go for Kamsky

Race 9, go for value pick again … Classical Park.

That’s my preference for now. Will look at the last minute betting support to reconfirm my bet. Good luck …

Gearing Up for Singapore Airlines International Club ( SAIC ) 2007

Tuesday, April 10th, 2007

This is one of the most exciting event in Singapore horse racing.

You can get the details here :

http://www.siacup.com.sg/

I looked at the video featuring previous races of SAIC. The one which caught my attention the most is year 2000 archive where Ouzo won the cup. Very close fight and “kin cheong”.

Don’t miss the fun, watch it here !

Singapore Racing - 14 Jan 2007

Monday, January 15th, 2007

I was in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, so I did not concentrate fully. Just focus my bettings in Singapore races after being postpone.

My betting list :

Race 1 - 3 Eternal Luck, ( result : 2nd )
Race 2 - 8 Fantastic Goal, ( result : 2nd )
Race 3 - 1 Nirvana, ( result : 2nd )
Race 4 - 4 Valiant Master ( result : 2nd )
Race 5 - 3 Lucky Strong ( unplaced )
Race 6 - 12 Magic Eight ( unplaced )
Race 7 - 3 Iron Eyes Cody ( Winner ) + 4 Tucson ( fourth )
Race 8 - No bet. I like Zibellino but pay too little.
Race 9 - 5 Field Princess ( Winner )

Overall, did not make money because most of the place only yield $5. Very pathetic.

After reading the race commentary, I feel that we should take a look at Race 6 where Han Effect won. I think it is a very interesting race where a few front runner putting pressure on him.

Race 6 Video - Han Effect

As of posting this article, I am still waiting for the videos to be uploaded.

Let’s wait …
